Did you have a Valentine’s Day date?
With the pandemic forcing us to stay at home and allowing us to reflect on things we want to do more of, my husband and I decided that we’re committed to setting time monthly for ourselves for self-care and self-love.
We schedule bi-weekly massages and monthly date nights with ourselves and sometimes with our couple friends. My love language is receiving gifts and also acts of service so I look forward to these times.
February being Valentine’s day month, we made sure to set time aside for an extra special date night.
A Local Valentine’s Day Date with My Husband
Our date nights involve us exploring the Dallas Fort Worth Metroplex, dining at restaurants, and enjoying the city party life. Activities I’m sure you love to do as well.
If you’re local to the Dallas Fort-Worth metroplex, I’m sharing local valentine’s day date ideas to explore with your husband.

Our Favorite Neighborhoods to Visit in Dallas
Legacy West Plano
Legacy West Plano is a fairly new neighborhood that we have come to enjoy and visit often.
It’s an urban place with lush shops, fine dining and eateries, luxury residences, and offices.
Our favorite restaurants in Legacy West are Fogo De Chao and Earl’s Kitchen + Bar. For this Valentine’s Day, hubby and I plan on dining with our couple friends at Toulouse Cafe, catering to a mix of Persian and French cuisines.
With exquisite restaurants at Legacy West, there are also a variety of shops that I love. Some of my favorites are West Elm, Neighborhood Goods, and Read Between The Lines.
The Shops At Plano
The Shops At Plano is located on the east side of North Dallas Tollway which is about less than five minutes from Legacy West Plano. This neighborhood is much older than Legacy West and consists of luxury shops and upscale restaurants. It is also a popular spot for party life on Fridays and Sundays.
Hubby and I visit Shops At Plano for mostly dining and the nightlife. Our favorite restaurant is Cafe Istanbul, 100% authentic and delicious Turkish cuisines. I look forward to the bread and variety of meats choices.
Our family friends introduced us to this restaurant and we got hooked instantly. I highly recommend you visit.
