Every little girl wants to feel like a princess. And her birthday is the perfect occasion to make it happen! For my daughter’s 7th birthday, I put together a Princess Tiana-themed party that she absolutely loved.
Adorned in a princess dress and tiara, she enjoyed fun activities, tasty snacks, delicious desserts, and themed décor. And all of her friends left with lots of good memories and party favors. Everything turned out beautifully, and I want to share the creative process with you.

Budget-Friendly Invitations
The beginning of any celebration is the invitation. After sifting through many designs, I found one that best complemented the birthday party theme. I used Canva’s free version to create the invites.

It is easy and super cost-effective. Using Canva allows you to add your personal touches to the design and create as many invitations as needed.
Princess Tiana Birthday Outfit
A princess needs her royal attire. My daughter wore a blue princess dress along with a beautiful tiara.
Suppose a princess dress is not your daughter’s style. Another cute and comfortable option is creating a customized Princess Tiana t-shirt for the celebration. The t-shirt can be paired with a tutu and a tiara.

Princess Tiana Birthday Themed Décor
Like most Disney princesses, Princess Tiana has themed décor in stores and online for purchase. I decided to take a more creative route and put together a more chic, stylish look that still represented the theme well.

I created a party design board that included the photo inspiration, party color scheme, backdrop design, table setting layout, and decorations. This way, I can see my vision for the party.
A party design board serves as a reference point for your party concept. It also helps to facilitate comminations with party vendors.

The color scheme for the party was blue, green, white, and gold, which matched the colors of Tiana’s dress and accessories. On the party design board, I decided on an open arch backdrop, which I rented from PartyHaus Rentals, and created a custom balloon garland using 5”, 10”, 12”, and 18” balloons.
We had the party at home, and I wanted tables that allowed for a large group of kids. I rented long tables to seat 12 kids and clear ghost chairs from Cherished Seats.
They were perfect and created an elegant yet kid-friendly setup for eating and games.
Cake & Desserts
A Princess Tiana birthday party is only complete with a Princess Tiana cake. The cake was created by YummyTecture.
The birthday girl requested ruffles and pearls from Princess Tiana dresses and, as the cake topper, a tiara. We chose an emerald and gold crown, similar to the ones she also wore at her birthday party.

It turned out beautifully, and the tiara was the perfect finishing touch.
PartyHaus Rentals also provided the cutest candy cart for the kids. On the cart, there were dipped pretzel sticks that I made; get the recipe here.

I purchased these cotton candy cones from Esty. They were delivered fresh and tasted so good.
Lilly’s Sugar Crumbs made the customized Princess Tiana-themed cookies. Everything was delicious!

Activities & Games
Each table placement had a special coloring, activity sheet, and colored pencils. The great thing about these is they can be found online. There are various styles for you to choose from. It’s an inexpensive way to entertain your child’s guests.

Party Favors
You can’t end a birthday celebration without party favors! I worked with Val from PartyCreations by Val to create customized gift boxes and was so pleased with how they turned out.

I filled the boxes with lots of goodies. The kids received character pens, snap bracelets, push poppers, light-up rings, and candy. If you want to see how I put them together, check it out here.
